【摘要】:Viscositymeasuredundertheconditionsofthistestmethodisconsideredtoberepresentativeofthatatthetemperaturesandshearratesbutnotthepressuresinthejournalbearingsofinternalcombustionenginesunderoperatingconditions.Therelevanceoftheseconditionstothemeasurementofengine-oilviscosityhasbeendiscussedinmanypublications.61.1Thistestmethodcoversthelaboratorydeterminationoftheviscosityofoilsat150Cand1106s-1andat100Cand1106s-1,usinghighshearratetapered-plugviscometermodelsBE/CorBS/C.1.2Newtoniancalibrationoilsareusedtoadjusttheworkinggapandforcalibrationoftheapparatus.Thesecalibrationoilscoverarangefromapproximately1.8to5.9mPa-s(cP)at150Cand4.2to18.9mPa-s(cP)at100C.ThistestmethodshouldnotbeusedforextrapolationtohigherviscositiesthanthoseoftheNewtoniancalibrationoilsusedforcalibrationoftheapparatus.Ifitissoused,theprecisionstatementwillnolongerapply.1.3Anon-Newtonianreferenceoilisusedtocheckthattheworkingconditionsarecorrect.Theexactviscosityappropriatetoeachbatchofthisoilisestablishedbytestingonanumberofinstrumentsindifferentlaboratories.TheagreedvalueforthisreferenceoilmaybeobtainedfromthechairmanoftheCoordinatingEuropeanCouncil(CEC)SurveillanceGroupforCECL-36-A90,orfromthedistributor.1.4Applicabilitytoproductsotherthanengineoilshasnotbeendeterminedinpreparingthistestmethod.1.5Thistestmethodusesthemillipascalseconds,mPa-s,astheunitofviscosity.Forinformation,theequivalentcgsunit,centipoise,cP,isshowninparentheses.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
