【摘要】:Thistestmethodistobeusedfortheremovalofvirucidalagentsfromagent-virusmixtures,orfromagent-neutralizer-virusmixtures,afterthecontactperiodandbeforetheinoculationofthesemixturesintohostsystemsforassayofinfectivity.Thepurposeofthetestmethodistoreducetheconcentrationofagentsandneutralizersinordertopermittheevaluationofviralinfectivityatdilutionsthatwouldotherwisebetoxictothehost.Thetestmethodisapplicabletothetestingofliquidandpressurizeddisinfectantproducts.Thistestmethodiscompatiblewithorganicsoilloads,hardwater,disinfectantscontainingorganicsolvents,andchemicalneutralizers.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheuse,inconjunctionwithevaluationsofthevirucidalefficacy,ofdisinfectantsolutionsorpressurizeddisinfectantsprayproductsintendedforuseoninanimatenonporousenvironmentalsurfacesorforotherspecialapplications.Thetestmethodmaybeemployedwithallvirusesandhostsystems.1.2Thistestmethodshouldbeperformedonlybypersonstrainedinmicrobiologyandvirology.1.3Thistestmethodutilizesgelfiltrationtechnology.Theeffectivenessofthetestmethodisdependentontheratioofgelbedvolumetosamplesizeanduniformityinthepreparationofcolumnsandcentrifugationconditions.Theeffectivenessofthistestmethodismaximizedbyinvestigatorpracticeandexperiencewithgelfiltrationtechniques.1.4Thistestmethodwillreduce,butnotnecessarilyeliminate,disinfectanttoxicitywhilepreservingthetiterofinputvirus.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
