【摘要】:Thistestmethodmaybeusedfordeterminingcompliancewithaspecificationformaximumcashmerecoarse-haircontentandisrequiredtobeusedfordeterminingcompliancewithSpecificationD2817.5.1.1IncaseofadisputearisingfromdifferencesinreportedtestresultswhenusingTestMethodD2816foracceptancetestingofcommercialshipments,thepurchaserandthesuppliershouldconductcomparativeteststodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweentheirlaboratories.Competentstatisticalassistanceisrecommendedfortheinvestigationofbias.Asaminimum,thetwopartiesshouldtakeagroupoftestspecimensthatareashomogeneousaspossibleandthatarefromalotofmaterialofthetypeinquestion.Thetestspecimensshouldthenberandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.TheaverageresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingStudent’t-testforunpaireddataandanacceptableprobabilitylevelchosenbythetwopartiesbeforethetestingisbegun.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrectedorthepurchaserandthesuppliermustagreetointerpretfuturetestresultsinthelightoftheknownbias.Whentheproductbeingtestedhasacashmerecoarse-haircontentthatdepartssignificantlyeitherwayfromthespecifiedamount,thesequentialtestproceduredescribedhereinwillresultinasubstantialreductioninthenumberofobservationsrequiredforadecisionatthestatedlevelofconfidence.Ontheotherhand,whentheproductbeingtestedhasacashmerecoarse-haircontentthatapproachesthespecifiedamount,thesequentialprocedureensuresthatthenecessaryincreasednumberofobservationsshallbemadetosecureacorrectdecisionatthestatedlevelofconfidence.1.1Thistestmethodcoversasequentialprocedurefordeterminingwhetherornotthecashmerecoarse-haircontentofasampleexceedsaspecifiedvalue.Note1Forthemaximumallowablecashmerecoarse-haircontentincashmere,refertoSpecificationD2817.Note2Forthequantitativeanalysisofcashmerehairandblendsofcashmerehairandotherfibers,refertoTestMethodsD629.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicableonlytocashmerehairintheformofroving,yarn,orfabric,andtothecashmerehaircontentofblendswithotherfibers,wheretheexpectedcashmerecoarse-haircontentisnotmorethanfivemasspercent(seeFootnoteCof).Forgreaterexpectedmasspercentagesofcashmerecoarse-hair,seeTestMethodsD629.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
